ENGRAVER, PAINTER, AND ALCHEMIST

Explore the worlds of Jérémy Demester and set out in search of his tribe, La Demestria. For his first exhibition at a museum, the artist presents fifty new artworks, including etchings and paintings.

The exhibition visit, spanning four rooms, invites spectators to participate in an experience, alone or as a group. This visit reserves a few surprises for us, recalling how the power of association of images stems from savant alchemy.

Often created with others (artisans, children, scientists, technicians, or friends, forming a big family that the artist calls La Demestria), these artworks question the nature of art and its relationship to the founding myths.

Jérémy Demester is invited within the framework of the seventh edition of the Prix des Partenaires [Partners’ Prize]. The Museum awards this Prize annually to an emerging artist, thanks to the support of their patrons.
